ONDO GUBER; SDP ON COURSE WITH ETHNIC AGENDA.--CHIEF DUYILE

The Social Democratic Party (SDP), candidate Dr. Olu Agunloye has been described as the right choice for the party to meet Akure, Akoko, Owo and the Southern senatorial engines in the November 26, Governorship election in the state.

According to him, Leadership of the SDP had tried to meet the initial agreement of Afenifere that the next governor of Ondo state should come from Akure Division.

In fulfilment of that agreement, he said, the party is the only party in Nigeria whose National Chairman--Chief Olu Falae and the state Chairman-- chief Korede Duyile all hail from Akure Division.

Chief Duyile recalled that Dr. Agunloye was one of those screened in the house of Chief Fasoranti in preparation for the 1999 general elections when late Chief Adebayo Adefarati enlarged as the party's governorship candidate.

Also when the party was sourcing for a candidate the 2016 election, he said,  Dr. Agunloye was picked as the most credible candidate being a man of integrity who has not soiled his name in public offices he served.

His words,''the party and her candidate are crisis free unlike what obtains in other party's whose candidates have one  court litigation or the other hanging on them and are yet to know the fate of their candidates''.

''We thank God that in your own life time (referring to Chief Fasoranti), we can have a governor we can call our own 17 years after'', Chief Duyile said.

In his own contribution, the Vice Chairman of SDP in Ondo state, Chief Bayo Fajemilua reiterated the need to present an Akure indigen, because the Division had differed enough neglect in the hands of past governors.

According to him, the selection of Agunloye is the right peg in a round whole being from Ojomu Iro compound, same with the Lisa of Akure, High Chief  Engr Olusoga.

The National Chairman of Afenifere noted that it is wrong for someone to wake up overnight and pick the ticket of a political party , saying ''party's clearance of such a person weeks after INEC's deadline is a fiasco''.

Dr. Agunloye said he is entering into an agreement with the National leader that he will not disappoint him but rather be a good ambassador of the people and serve with integrity four the next four years.

While responding,Pa Fasoranti said Dr. Agunloye is not a stranger to him, having known his mother when she was working in Akure, adding that, "'I involve my entire body in his project''.
The state Chairman of SDP, Chief Korede Duyile disclosed this while presenting Dr. Agunloye to  Chief Reuben Fasoranti, the National leader of the Pan Yoruba Socio Cultural Group, Afenifere in Akure.
